Hi! Welcome to my online kitchen!

My name is Lauren and I'm foodie fanatic in desperate need of more counterspace! Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I moved out of my parents' house after graduating from college and into a newer (much tinier) space of my own.

When I'm not tripping over my two kitties in my kitchen, you can find me looking over recipes, reading food and kitty blogs, and daydreaming about becoming the next Martha Stewart (have you SEEN her cupcakes?!).

 I am fortunate to have great family and friends who love me and love trying the baked goodies that come out of my oven. What's mine is yours, especially since I live on my own and it's not as fun cooking for just one person. Everything about cooking and baking inspires me. Researching new recipes, trying them out, the presentation, and then the best part, the EATING of them is so fun!

 The idea of creating a food blog originally came from watching the "Julie & Julia" movie, but I put it into practice after discovering the incredibly talented bloggers listed on the side bar under "Favorite Foodie Sites." Check me out, check THEM out, and enjoy!
